Meeting Minutes April 13, 2010

Meeting started at 7:20 PM
9 Glenview Road Update (Susan Saunders)
Buyer opted to NOT have a home
inspection. They are having an insect and nonprofessional building inspection.
In regard to the settlement of the slab- the Town Building Inspector suggested
it appeared that it occurred years before and is not continuing.
Buyer requested several things- 1) that
the gas line be supported; 2) estimate of what it would cost to repair corner
of slab that has settled; 3) that the Town hire an inspector; 4) that the Town
level the subfloor in master bedroom; 5)that the Town insulate the attic and
install a ridge vent; 6) that the Town repair the rotted cabinet under kitchen
sink; 7)that the Town repair water staining and flashing in the entryway; 8) that the Town install a dry well; 9) that
the Town install trim around cellar door; 10) that the Town install additional
siding; 11) that the Town repair the crack in the front stairs; 12) that the Town level off the floor in
basement; 13) that the Town test for lead paint; 14) that the Town test for
radon; 15) that the Town fix telephone wires; 16) that the Town will loam and
seed front and back yards
The town agreed to 1) Install swing vent
where gas line meets floor; 4) Level the subfloor under carpet in master
bedroom; 6) Replace rotted area under sink 7) Repair flashing and ceiling at
front entry; 9) Wrap the basement door trim on the outside 10) Replaced cracked
and missing siding; 11) Fill crack in front stairs; 15) Tack up telephone
wires.
All other requests made are the
responsibility of the buyer. Jane
Desberg sent a letter to the buyers with this information on April 12, 2010.

Taxes on this property will be adjusted
to reflect lowered sale price. A
Purchase and Sale agreement is needed by April 30, 2010. Property will close by
June 1, 2010
CPA Application
The Finance Committee did not support the
SHP application for $20,000.00 for CPA funds to do a survey of Town owned
parcels suitable for affordable development. Susan will pull this from the Town
Meeting warrant for May. Mary Tobin
presented the group with a list of Town owned properties she received from Mark
Mazur, Town Assessor. Mary will cross check list with earlier information and
report back to group.
New Business
Information concerning Open Meeting Law
was discussed. All SHP members need to take the Ethics test and become
certified online.
Mary Tobin suggested contacting Norma
Fitzgerald from the Sharon Council on Aging concerning working together with
her toward affordable housing goals for Sharon seniors.
